The New York Knicks are preparing for training camp with a mix of veteran players and young talent. Several players are battling for roster spots, while others are looking to prove themselves and secure their places on the team.

What happened

The New York Knicks are preparing for their upcoming training camp, and the team's roster is filled with players looking to secure their spots. The team has a mix of veteran players and young talent, including Ochai Agbaji, OG Anunoby, and Mikal Bridges. Agbaji, a former 14th overall pick, is a long shot to make the final roster, while Anunoby is looking to build on his outstanding playoff run. Bridges, on the other hand, is set to earn a career-high $33.5 million this season.

Other players, such as Bruce Brown and Jon Konchar, are battling for roster spots on non-guaranteed contracts. Brown, a contributor to the 2023 Nuggets championship team, will need to impress in camp and preseason to earn a spot. Konchar, who reportedly spurned other offers to join the Knicks, will have to beat out Brown in training camp.

The team also has several players who are looking to prove themselves, including Pacôme Dadiet, who is standing close to being labeled a draft bust. Dadiet underwhelmed in Summer League and will need to show progress to stick around. Mohamed Diawara, on the other hand, had an encouraging rookie season and signed a new contract, but only about half of it is guaranteed.

The Knicks also have several veteran players, including Andre Drummond, who is attempting to fill the shoes of Mitchell Robinson. Drummond's conditioning has been an issue in the past, and his mobility will be something to watch in preseason. Josh Hart, who has dealt with various injuries, is extension-eligible and will need to prove himself in camp.
