Frank Turek Criticizes 'My Truth' Concept
The Blaze

Frank Turek criticizes the 'my truth' concept, stating that objective truth cannot be customized to fit individual desires, and compares it to having one's own math, emphasizing the importance of objective truth in society.

What happened

Christian apologist Frank Turek criticized the concept of "my truth," stating that objective truth cannot be customized to fit individual desires. He compared this idea to having one's own math, emphasizing that there is only one set of mathematical principles, just as there is only one objective truth.

Turek explained that when feelings become the ultimate authority, society is in trouble. He cited recent events, including a law in Massachusetts that allows a woman to kill her baby up to the moment of birth, as an example of the consequences of rejecting objective truth. Turek argued that this mentality is "madness" and that every OB-GYN knows that there is never a reason to kill a baby in the third trimester, as a C-section can be performed to take care of the mother.

Turek's comments were made during an interview with BlazeTV host Allie Beth Stuckey, who agreed that the concept of "my truth" leads to a lack of objective justice. Stuckey noted that without objective truth, justice becomes "empathy-based" and dependent on individual emotions and choices, rather than being based on a universal standard of right and wrong.
