What happened

A alleged Hamas member, Saleem Alzaq, has been indicted for funneling $1.7 million to the terror group. Alzaq, who works in Hamas' media office, claimed the donations were for humanitarian aid for ailing kids in Gaza. However, federal prosecutors allege that the money was actually used to support Hamas.

Alzaq boasted about having many friends in New York, as well as in Ohio and other parts of the United States, in a 2025 exchange with an undercover NYPD agent over Snapchat. He also instructed his followers not to write certain slogans, such as
